You could certainly replace the axles with hollow ones, not too sure how successful (or expensive?) it would be to drill and tap the existing solid ones?

For drilling and tapping you'd need a lathe with auto-feed, no?

The halo ones you get are hollow but I don't think you could get a skewer throughout there

Just wondering if anyone has tried this before or if it's even possible, I'd like to convert my current track axles to a female bolt in or QR on my halo hubs, so I don't have to carry a spanner all the time and make the bike look a but tidier. If someone had experience or could point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated
