  • Decent bike at a good price

Im selling my bike. it was used as my commuter for roughly two years, now im moving back to NY. Ive some other bikes there.

58cm, single speed, fixed transmission, its a good bike.
Would fit someone between 175-190cms in height, depending on how leggy you are.

    I would like £165

Im leaving the country on Friday. I hope the bike is priced well enough to sell before then.
    Pictures to follow later tonight.
    in Holloway/Tufnel Park area

    Frame
Racer frame from a bikeshop called Brands in Amsterdam, and it is roughly the same spec as the 80’s Gazelle Champion Mondial racers (531 and all that). It has Campagnolo dropouts, Zeus forks that are chromed. One chainstay is chromed too. Quite close clearances.
    bought here : http://www.lfgss.com/thread42085.html

    Parts

    • Knockoff Campagnolo cranks by Andel, 47t ring also by Andel
    • Izumi chain (has a quick release thing)
    • generic 17t cog, generic lock ring
    • generic pedals, cage, strap (plastic/nylon) (I find that leather straps tend to break!?!? Does -nanyone else get this? Everyone seems to be using leather straps!?)
    • Velo orange rims on formula track hubs (Free-fixed)
    • Velo orange bars, roughly chopped. Re-taping recommended.
    • Shimano BB.
    • The headset will be changed to a Shimano 105 one. im keeping whats on it.
    • Dia Compe break on front connected to a Tektro reverse lever on the left side (American style) it is currently defunct as a fixing is missing. so I never really used the break. The rims are both in good condition for this reason!
    • Panaracer tyres that are definitely NOT new but still usable (I moved the more worn one to the front)
    • White Rolls
    • SR Custom short reach stem (70mm ish)

    roughly how it looks

    Some notes
THE BREAK DOESNT WORK AT THE MOMENT - YOU WILL NEED A SMALL FIXING THING.
The rear wheel spokes were loose and so I tightened them, but I didnt do a good job and it is out of true. It needs to be trued. No damage on it.
Bits of rust exist, I varnished over them but havent fundamentally dealt with them. its not too bad. Small spots. I don’t think you need a repaint unless youre really fussy.

Will post up some pictures later tonight (around midnight)
PLEASE NOTE THAT WHOMEVER BUYS THE BIKE WILL HAVE TO RIDE IT BREAKLESS UNTIL YOU FIX IT

If anyone is interested please email me to jjk0309@gmail.com I cant log in here so often as Ive got too much work and packing to do... :(
    The bike isnt listed elsewhere.

    Thanks for the interest.

    Jeremy
