Deda is nice except for the logo all over it, which looks messy when it peeks out from under the next bit of tape. I went over it with a marker and it looks much better now.
Fizik Microtex is somewhat similar retro-looking perforated tape. It has a more visible leatherette texture and is rather thin.
You might want to find some 80s or early 90s bar tape to suit the bike, like two-tone or silver finish.

How's it fair over distance?
I'm looking at doing a few 100 mile-ish rides.
Comfy?
Obviously coolness is also important. -

Fizik looks great but has the longevity of damp tissue paper.

+1 to that
Lizard Skin gets good reviews, I have some but have yet to put it on the bike

i use cork tape as base without overlapping when enfold it, microtex on top.
wear off at ~4000km with full finger gloves and ~2000km with bare hands... -

lizard skin bar tape is the best i have found so far

The DSP is great tape but fades fast if you use a tougher glove and it has some unpredictability about it in the wet.

Black Cinelli cork.
Always, unless you need white...in which case....
white cinelli cork

use nice rapha gloves and the lizard skin is fine

Lizard skin and DSP looks great on modern bikes, don't suit more classic builds though. Fizik is still my favorite though the Shimano Pro stuff on my track bike at the moment could sway my opinion.

I"ve used cotton tape on both my builds, my hands dislike me.

The fizik micro I tried because it looked nice but it is so thin. really didnt like riding on it so I went back to cinelli cork. As far as long lasting nothing beats the brooks leather. I have used the same piece of tape on 4 different shape bars and the leather was great.

I really like the Specialized Phat Wrap which is on my racer, although quite impressed with Cinelli Gel Cork atm...

Fizik soft touch. But then I like thin tape.

^If you ask him nicely, I'm sure he could find you a jersey to match that tape and I know he has some hairnet helmets!!... and you'd probably get combined postage too.

I have the fizik soft touch on two of my bikes, both with the gel inserts, and love it.
Brooks is also nice, but the logos are shit, and it looks fairly tatty.
Off the back of Dovs recommendation I tired the Mavic guido, and its probably the best plan black standard tape I've used. Enough squish, but not too much, and good in the wet...and cheap!
Personally, with that build I'd look at the retro ones as posted...
....or maybe the faded tape in green to white(?) Both colours would match the pink/purple and it would have that retro flava, but still be subtle.
