For sale is a Saracen steel touring frame and the fork, Surly Cross-Check 1" with mid eyelets. SOLD
The frame has some damage on the right hand chain stay from running 39/53 rings and the chain dropping on the inside, the mark is not so deep but anyone using the frame would understandably want the assurance that it wont be a problem so I am not setting a price but am open to offers. I am afraid I don't know it's weight but I know it is pretty light for steel and the most comfortable frame I have ever ridden.
The fork was bought brand new in about May. I cut about 20mm off so its pretty long, it comes with a 1" star nut. They are Surly Cross-check forks but they have mid eyelets, a great 1" strong commuting or touring fork.
Both these parts together make a great bike, the forks a little heavy for the frame but the comfortable ride is something to die for, I had a well used brooks and oh my it was heaven, the upright position gave me great visibility and no fatigue. I am selling as I am saving up for some expedition touring and I really want a Rohloff hub :)
Both Items need to be collected from East Finchley N2. I may be able to deliver depending where. (the frame aint easy to carry around my neck while cycling.)
