Actually it isn't too heavy, but it's certainly strong. :-) I found it great for racing and seemed to fly up hills on it despite using a 53/16 gearing.

Was going to keep this so let the thread get buried, but definitely going to gear up the winter bike again now, so this is definitely for sale again. The offers thing didn't work, so how about £50? I'm travelling to London Tuesday evening so could meet at London Bridge station for around 6:30 or 7:30 if that's convenient. PM me if you'd like to arrange something. Thanks.

£45? Last reduction before I resort to the dreaded eBay at the weekend. Thanks.
Halo Aerorage purple 32h clincher rim built on Surly fixed/free 130mm rear hub with silver Sapim spokes. Allows you to use any road frame with "normal" 130mm rear spacing as a fixed or single speed. Obviously works best with older style drop outs with a bit of horizontal adjustment.
I had this built in March this year and used it on a bike that I was using as a single speed time trial machine for a bit of early season races. Since then it has been used for the ocassional training ride. Overall it's used, but in good condition. The fixed threads have never seen a sprocket so are in mint condition. I can supply it with a Shimano MX30 16T freewheel (used) or a 18T one (new) or both if you're interested.
I'm converting the bike back to a geared winter hack, so this wheel is surplus.
Not sure what it's worth so open to offers. Based in Maidstone, but depending on location I may be able to deliver in person. PM if interested. Cheers, Damian.
