Wanted: Cheap ladies bike for my girlfriend

Her lovely Dawes is out of action, various issues, faulty sturmey archer hub, brakes etc, it needs an overhual.

Whilst I find the time do this does anyone have a cheap ste through frame bike for about £50 that runs fine for a ride whilst i find the time to fix the Dawes?

A frame size about 53cm - 54 would be good?

Yes - for collection from SW6 - runs fine, has a little rust here & there, plus brakes are a tad leisurely - just upgraded to a nice Pashley, hence need to offload - but it is a Dutch bike style - not sure if thats what you're after - will try to sort some pics

maybe indeed, what's wrong with the brakes? pads? is it easy to fixe?

Same situation with my girls, Picked a new one up on sunday from the non dodgy sellers at brick lane (the ones who buy from police auctions and fix them up). They have a bunch of complete bikes for £40-50 . Picked up the same bike as hers for £45. Cheaper than getting new wheels and brakes for hers.
