Wanted: Old school road bike, fast but shiny - budget £275ish

Mornin' kids.

I've been scouring the sale threads and nothing has quite what I'm after so I figured I'd put a WANTED ad up.

I'm after a steel 70s/80s road bike, marque is not so important, but I want it fast and oldschool. 56cm seat tube would be pref, but anywhere around there would be fine.

or this one (57cm) Batavus Professional, Reynolds 531, full Shimano 600, near mint, even the brake lever hoods < provisionally sold now (june 19)

Both very nice - the Batavus is closer to what I'm after but - not to be a massive poser here - I'm not a massive fan of beige/champagne bikes. Anything in blue/black/red/white/green/what haev you?

ah, sorry I also have a blue Vittorio for sale but more expensive and 2cm too big. Batavus is also a bit above 275 btw. The Miyata and Batavus are the only ones sort of matching your size

I got one, almost nos, it's been ridden once Superia, full campagnolo great stuff.
It's got a greyisch green color.

dura ace bits. seller is a bit of a plank to be honest. he mentioned he might re-list it for more he said to me....he believes its worth more and will go fast. based in W10 I believe.

Yeah I saw that vintage bike seller guy on ebay but I'm not sure I like the dude very much either - he was selling a carbolite Pug for way more than it was worth. Good looking out though.

yeh guy seems a bit of plank to me, he told me 'it's gonna sell very quickly', then when it didn't sell in 5 days, i offered him the same amount again, and he came up with that bunch of rubbish about relisting at a higher amount. good luck!
