i'd like to margherita the owners to see what they have in mind ... hmm tenuous
i hope they formaggi into a decent bike shop .... hmm even worse

A bit close to BC Bikes. Doubt they'll even last four seasons
-
• #8
true that - but it depends what they have to offer IMO
BC bikes might just be one of the most over-priced, ridiculous cycling shops i have ever been to...
no criticism to them - they're catering to the East Dulwich crowd so they can get away with it, but c'mon... what SE15 needs is a friendly, helpful shop that will let you use their tools and provide quality second hand shit, co-op style. then i'm in. -

Yeah this would be nice. Kinda what I thought Wilsons would be like when I first saw it from outside.

Got a pair of track nuts (French-to-regular converters) from BC for £2 the other week, then asked if they had any p-clips, he chucked them in for free.
Wilsons have really sorted me out with repairs. But they ordered in some steel forks for my housemate, said it'd be a few days so he left his bike for them to fit the forks... took about 3 weeks to get his bike back, £100. I told him to never do anything like that again without consulting me first. -

worrrrrrdddd.
they're nice blokes though. -

Yep, Half Moon Lane. I gave them a box full of misc. hub gear bits and an untensioned wheel on a busy Saturday morning, and they had it all trued, fitted, indexed and ready for collection within 2.5 hours. A+ service and turnaround.

Definitely good guys at BC bikes. I live across the street from them so it cant get more convenient than that. I hardly ever buy anything from them, mostly because they tend to cater to the hybrid loving mum's and dad's in the area and dont have the bits I need.
I wonder what the Bellenden shop will be? It would be awesome if they were a brixton cycles type shop, even in a small way. There are a lot of fixed, SS geeks in the neighborhood now. It would be excellent to have a shop I can actually use that close.
Just received this from a friend as an MMS:
... WTF man.
Apparently, 'On Time Pizza' on Bellenden road is becoming a Cycle Shop?
Anybody know anything else about this???
