On closer investigation I've decided I would rather the Velo Orange, looks more comfortable.
Still open to suggestions though, and this is a morning bump.

Don't want to sell my Nitto rando's but thought I would offer suggestion that the tops are very narrow if you have big hands you might want to keep that in mind. They are comfy on the hoods and the drops but I have a hard time staying for long on the top.

thanks for the advice, i spend most of my time on the hoods so should be ok. on the look out for some really comfy levers/hoods actually if you've any advice on that? dedicated brake levers as will be using dt shifters.

Sorry I have one dia-comp aero stuck in the end of the drop for front brake (there is a pic on my profile page easier to see there than for me to describe).

I suggest the nitto rivendell bars. 177A intsead of the randonneur.
I had a 42cm and found them great around town but a bit narrow for long rides. I would get them again in 44cm or 46. they even make it in 48. they dont flare our like the randonneur bars. more like a classic bar with the tops slightly bent back for comfort. I used them with a technomic deluxe and they look and work great.
So another project, another wishlist.
For the minute I'm after a pair of Nitto Randonneur bars, or similar (Velo Orange grand cru etc) around 44cm wide... also a Nitto Technomic stem between 80 to 100mm with a long shaft a la

Diameter of stem depends on bars and vice versa.
Would need posting to Leeds but in no rush.
Items are going on a bike intended for some hard use so don't need to be mint either just serviceable and straight.
