Removing a cog

  • Ive stupidly taken my wheel apart without removing my cog first. any on ideas on how to remove a cog from my hub when its just a hub. Its really jammed on.

  • rebuild the wheel then remove

  • any other options?

  • miami vice with don johnson

  • First step:
don't post two separate threads on it.

If it's a double sided hub then you can put a cog (and lockring) on the other side and use two chain whips and see if that budges it, BUT remember to put the spokes into that other side before putting on the other cog (or you end up with the same scenario)

  • gahh
