Saw the aftermath of an accident last night at about 18:45 on Palace Street in Victoria.
A courier (working for Courier Systems) had been in a colision with a car. Not sure what happened as by the time I got there the ambulance had just arrived but the car straddled the broken white line so was right in the middle of the road - a very odd position and it looked like the bike had been hit front on and Matt (for that is his name) had hit the windscreen with his right shoulder/side.
The windscreen was bust as were Matt's ribs and shoulder. I took his bike (front wheel was screwed) and have stored it for him and he later gave me a call from hospital to say he's "OK" (well as much as you can be with those injuries!)
Like I said I've no idea how it happened but I cycle down there every day and know a lot of drivers screw it down that road and a lot also meander along it looking for places to park/deliver and end up making the most monumentally stupid manouvers
Heal up fast Matt!
