I've got a few spare bikes too, including one that'd prolly be ok for his size. Gimmie a ring if all others fall through, my number is in the numbers thread. Or just PM me. I'm based in Chalk Farm, London.

will do, if Tenderloin is happy to loan it might make it easier (ie not trying to get a bike back from Brighton when thousands of others are trying too)
Cheers all

I've got an old Dawes galaxy that I use as a beater (I'm 6' 2). Needs a new outer for front brake.

Fruitbat i've got lots of outer cable housing, I dunno what bike shops charge for it but if it's more than the price of a pint, you can have some for the price of a pint. It's light blue in colour though.. Although I think I might have some yellow or white knocking around someplace :)

I've got new here, I've just been too disorganised/lazy to get round to fitting it.
Only mentioned it because I was offering the bike to someone else.
Thanks anyway.bump

Hi I too am involved in a charity ride for Diabetes UK. I am riding from John O'Groats to Lands End but at present only have a mountain bike that I have adapted with road tyres. Obviously the gears, handlebars etc are all wrong for such a distance so I am looking to either buy very low cost or loan a bike to complete the ride on. I will of course get the bike serviced at the end if someone would be good enough to loan the bike. Ideally I would like to buy one then the responsibility is mine. Is there anyone out there with a bike sitting idle? Please either reply ot the thread or call me on 07896 803071.
Cheers
Mike
Hello Again,
Another week, another charity request. More on topic this time.
My brother-in-law has some how been enlisted to to the London-Brighton ride but he does not own a bike.
I would normally lend him one of mine but the road bike will be being rebuilt that weekend in preparation for my own 3 day ride and my other bike is fixed (no good for him).
If anyone can lend any bike (preferably geared but SS would probably be cool).
He's 6'2" but size doesn't need to be spot on.
Anything considered/gratefully received.
Thanks
A
