Shimano 105 (5510) shifters:
9 Speed shifters, cosmetically not the prettiest: the lever blades have a good few scratches (right is worse than the left), and the face caps are scratched (LH cracked). Mechanically and functionally perfect though. see here for photos: http://s538.photobucket.com/albums/ff342/Al_38/BIke%20bits%20for%20sale/looking for £55 posted
also have a suitable chainring - but it is attached to the rest of the FCR700 chainset

sorry mate, not looking for a whole chainset. do the shifters work with a triple? many thanks!
Quite funny how on bike radar you are selling for a fiver cheaper ;)

For something different have you thought about using some Suntour Power shifters? Retrofriction ratchet system means you can shift any amount of gears front and back or how about a set of good old fashioned friction shifters, save yourself a packet!

It would appear I am - losing track of where these things are BR price is fine too then. I fully believe they work with a triple - see http://www.bikecircle.com/forums/showthread.php?38370-shimano-triple-to-double-help although were a double when i was using them.

sorry mate but a 32T 110mm BCD chainring doesn't exist, not physically possible as the bolt holes would be cutting into the teeth. 33T is the theoretical lower limit and 34t is the smallest you'll find. You might have a 94mm bcd or somesuch?

Oh I see thanks for the information. I definitely have 110BCD and there is a 36t on there at the moment, I was just wanting to replace it with one of a similar size and since i'm doing loaded touring i thought a lower one would be good, I will have to get a 34 or 36 then!
Right, the only remaining items I need are:
26.4 seatpost (not 26.8)
34/38 110bcd chainring (not a singlespeed one, one suitable for a triple)thanks!
Quite an extensive list!
need:
shimano sti shifters which can do triple on the front and 9 speed.
alternatively some indexed shimano downtube shifters
110bcd 32/34/36 chainring
a functional 26.8 seatpost with some length
shimano hubs capable of a 9 speed cassette
large range cassette suitable for touring
and some jockey wheels for an xt rear mech
many thanks!
