A bit like a duck on ice. The 'slippery waddle'.
There's a grip on the toe and on the heel, and the cleat gives you some grip, but little if any flex in the soles. Better suited to long distance rides, i.e. less walking.

I used mine on a geared racer, so no skid stops, but my mate had some and could skip-hop/skid stop. I think he changed to the red cleats which are a bit tighter...

Are shoes still for sale?
Some spring cleaning...
Thought I'd try road cleats last summer, but being a simpleton used to SPDs I didn't get on with them. Loathe to sell the shoes & pedals as they're damn nice, but they're just gathering dust in my cupboard, so here goes:
PEDALS GONE!
Lake CX235C Road Shoes, Black 44.0 Wide - £40 - ONO
Nice leather upper/carbon soled, wide fitting (comfortable on my wide UK10 feet). Good condition, only used a couple of time, some scrapes and marks to sole from walking, still clean and fresh!
(Link for description)
View/pick up near Bethnal Green. PM me if interested, or for photos/more info.
