  • Hi All.
I'm starting a London Branch of Veteran Cycle Club. First meet at Look Mum No Hands, on Tuesday 10th of May in the evening. Then on every second Tuesday of the month.

    Bruno

  • Make that about 6 or 6.30 start

  • What age is classed as 'vet ' ?
    ( checks birth certificate )

  • For racing: 40

  • For racing: 40

Thanks - (over) age limit ?

  • Death, I think

  • I don't think there's any age restrictions, the aim of the V-CC is to promote the riding and conservation of old bicycles;

Skully and Squabbles should definitely go.

  • Loverly site - thanks for the link.

  • I'll drag Skully there

  • The club is about the appreciation of all things cycling and its history

  • Old bikes, not old people.

  • Old bikes, not old people.

    Young people on old bikes?

    I'm out on two counts.

  • I no longer have a vintage bike*... :[

    • An 80s Colnago doesn't count, I miss my old Holdsworth...
  • try and find another Holdsworth. Everyone should have a classic bike

  • Hey, Bruno, do you mean racing veterans or age wise?
    I'm in.

  • Oh, I've taken my Grubb apart.

  • Yes, People of all ages, Veteran refers to the bikes. Bring your classic bikes along, from choppers to pennies.

  • I don't actually have anything older than 1976... Such a neophyte.

Good work Bruno. In the diary.

  • Loverly site - thanks for the link.

    NDS photo fail!

  • thought so - thanks

  • I used to be a member when it was the Southern Veteran Cycle Club. In fact the last time I rode at Herne Hill was on one of Arthur Pearson's Penny Farthings. I was rebuilding my own at the time. Sadly I sold it a long time ago.
