It's new old stock. I love coming across a find like this. Was built new by Nigel Dean for Paul Milnes.

I'm 6 foot 2 with 35 inch inside leg. 54 inch with the seat high feels really comfortable generally. My current bike is, and it's a near perfect fit but its just an old heavy beater. Has a very similar size and geometry to that one. Seat tube same length. I say near perfect because the arm reach is a touch too long on mine, but this one has a slightly shorter top tube so this should be a very good fit for me.

all good then.

Indeed. I am stupidly happy about this find. Now to choose the components that work well and look nice.

A NOS 20 year old shimano groupset should do it, with some mavic MA2s.

Yeah, I was thinking about Mavic MA2s... Deep Vs/modern looking wheelset designs would look terrible on this frame.

54 inch with huge blocks of wood strapped to my feet so I can reach the pedals feels really comfortable generally.

Oh, I've got this exact frame in the loft, I was going to give it away to a tramp.
Congrats on winning the auction though!

Haha! What would a tramp do with a frame? That's a cruel cruel trick to play.

I love the tactics they use to attract the hipsters!

Buy won, you mean Bought?
Well I won the opportunity to buy at a decent price? There were a load of bloody hipsters adding tiny amounts of money at a time to the price, starting a few minutes before end. I watched them fight amonst eachother in these timy increments for a while and then pounced. I've got my ebay timing with my internet speed quite well trained!
I just won this amazing frame! Just the size for me and everything.

It's beautiful. Bargain or not bargain?
