Newcastle checkpoint racing/alleycat

this has been talked about quite a bit over the last month, figured we should get feedback on here.....

the ROUGH idea was -

once a month

minimum 5 racers

each racer takes a photo of a spot about town, with their own 'addition' (e.g. your bag, bike, sticker, rubber chicken etc.)

everyone exchanges photos and has 5 mins to plan/write down their routes.

race starts.

racer arrives at spot, takes photo of self at spot, goes to next spot....

one person at start/finish line to record people's times and obviously who gets back first/last. - this person gets a pint bought for him/her by the group.

20 points per photo, 15-25 points for first back(figure we need a vote on that).

each racer puts in a few quid/ in 'the pot'. winner takes all.

thought we'd decide as a group on a date, and how much we all want to put in

Yer fair enough we could decide at polo or have a mid week ride to gypsy green for a sesh n decide.

Like the idea even though I'll get beat through poor local knowledge. Next thing we'll be taking bets Kierin style.

Would be sweet. I'd only e able to do it when I get the spider bike up and going...
