Wanted: OT - Cheap Smartphone

Hello,

I'm after a cheap smartphone for my girlfriend, something unlocked that she can check her emails/attachments on etc, like a palm pre or something i think.

I've got a measly budget of about fifty squids so I'm not expecting much.

I also know nothing about smartphones so any bitching/helpful discussion on different models is encouraged.

She uses linux on her pc so if it could sync with that it would be a bonus.

For £100 she could do what I did...BNIB Orange San Francisco, unlock it and de-brand, custom ROM etc. If she uses linux it will be a piece of cake!

Got mine from Orange but you may source one cheap on ebay. Worth checking out, both me and my girl have done this and it is well worth it for a really good little phone on a budget.
