Thanks for the heads-up. Good to see some prominent press coverage.

I will have to get that tomorrow

I could imagine the Daily Fail using the same image but then using the article to tell people to stop riding bikes.
Should be a good read. Thanks for pointing it out

"Each year thousands are seriously injured and dozens killed - many needlessly"
Many needlessly? What need do they think there was for the others to be killed?

to keep the numbers down and stop them breeding of course.

like it that the Indie is pro cycling. But a role call of the dead looks like cycling is really dangerous. Most people who see that front page will read "danger" which is a shame. In fainess they make the point about relative safety in the article but your average Daily Mail reader will only ever see the front page as they scan the rack in the morning. A role call of dead peds or car pasengers would run to many pages... "Why do we tolerate it?". I dislike it when the press feel the need to sensationalise a serious issue but "if it bleeds, it leads", I guess.

Newspapers always start their pro-cycling campaigns like this, especially if they're a bit desperate. In due course, their writers learn more and the coverage improves.

The Indie has been pro cycling for a while though.... would have hoped for better but the needs of advertisers always come first.

Yes, but they haven't run a campaign like this for some time.

I read some of the comments on the page for this story on the site, some of them are stupid drivers thinking all bikers shouldn't be on the road
