Brazing/frame repair

Posted on
  • Hi all,

My friend has snapped a chainstay just before the drop out on an old Peugeot (Cro-mo i think). Firstly is it worth repairing? will it hold up for long?. Secondly is there anyone who has the skillz and gear to have stab at it. Payment can be given in biscuits and cans of second rate larger

    cheers

    Josh

  • Useful. Now off you go...

  • Thanks for the advice rounce, I have however used the search. Pehaps It wasn't clear but what I was looking for was someone around Brighton who would be willing to carry out the repair if they deemed it salvagable.

    +1

  • Can you post up a pic? Might know of someone.

  • Go speak to Rich at baker street.

He will probably tell you its not worth doing, especially if its only a cheapy frame, but at least then you get to go frame shopping!

  • I want Matt to do a ghettoweld like on the Claud Butler!

  • Thanks guys, I'll get a pic up soon.
