The 1st of its kind in the UK. Specialist Omnium Track camp for women, youths and intermediate riders with video feedback
The Fast Track Cycling coaching team, Dave Le Grys and Lee Povey can now announce details of our Track Omnium training weekend at Newport Velodrome on 4th & 5th June 2011.
Come and try this exciting new race format after watching it at the recent world track championships, the events covered are:
Flying Lap
Scratch Race
Pursuit
Points Race
Elimination
500-1000m Time trial

This weekend is aimed at improving observation skills, bunch positioning, sprint finishing, pursuit and 500m/1000m technique, pacing and tactical awareness. We will also teach you how to compete successfully in a series of races on the same day. The clinic is suitable for anyone who has completed one of our beginners courses, intimidate track racers looking to improve their skill set and tactics and riders competing in the National Women’s and Youth Omnium series. The feedback and coaching is very similar to that used by the GB national squad in preparation for major competitions.
In a fun and welcoming coaching environment, David and Lee will give detailed video feedback on the optimal tactics for a broad range of race situations, giving you the confidence to race with purpose and assertiveness, allowing you to achieve the results you deserve!
You will be grouped on ability/current fitness so every standard will be catered for.
We have 4 hours track time each day plus a group road ride on Sunday morning giving you excellent value for your money.

doubt it. There are 2 rounds of the youth omnium series that weekend, saturday and sunday in all 3 regions (Northern, Midlands, Southern)...
