Thankyou you lovely chaps. Well Dan W I was thinking that theyve blocked off both ends of the road so we've got a whole road at our polo disposal? I'm drawing up the proposal tonight to make it more official and then Dan M I can figure out what needs doing. Basically I know it's such short notice but it's too good an opportunity to pass up. Let's hope it doesn't effin rain!!!

Fine with me. I have some time owed from work, so just holla.

The road's been closed because its being torn up, the surface is terrible, the tarmac goes through to the old cobbles in a number of sections (I closed it when I worked for the city). Its the only road in Birmingham improved by snow and ice covering it!

ah sheeeet. There is an additional road that's closed now too? Fin and I are going to recce it on Saturday to see what can be done there!

I drove past that set up this week and wondered what it was,I thought it was a bonfire

I rode past last night, and there were masses of cops and amulances stationed around the area. Turns out that massive crane was feared to be unsafe, and they were gearing up for it coming down.....
One rozzer on his "amazing" mountain bike was super-critical about my bike. "You'll get yourself killed on a stupid bike like that mate".
My response...... "you'll only catch a fucking cold on a bike like that, mate" -

I say belated birthday picnic FTW!
hmmm the road/polo thing is pissing me off now. I know later on in the month the project has access to the carpark over the road, I can do some digging. Otherwise grass polo anyone? Grrrr.

I see that thing from the train to and from work, Im shocked frankly that something that says burn on it and is made from wood in the centre of town has not been... Well you know... Burned?
Owsley, LS and I have all been bugging these guys and finally they got back to us today:
"I am contacting you from Fierce Festival, we are the arts organisation supporting the development of the project with EXYZT and are delighted to hear of your interest in using the space at Eastside Green.
*We are currently in the process of developing our calendar of events for April 2011 at the Eastside Green site and are very interested in supporting the idea you have proposed for a cycling picnic and film screening event. *
The Burningham containers are planned to be on site until the end of April and shall be relocated to a new site in May 2011 at the Nikal Masshouse development next to Millenium Point. Therefore we are putting together a collective of 3 events to be held across three separate days on 19th, 20th and 21st April 2011. Please let me know if any of these dates would be suitable and if you would like to provisionally reserve one of them for the cycling screening/picnic. I would suggest it may also be beneficial to set up a meeting to discuss the event and your ideas with you in more detail so we are fully aware of what you would like to achieve."
I have emailed back a response, CCing in Hyper as he was also interested in film screenings. Hopefully we can sort out a meet ASAP. Which date is best do you think for the screenings? x
