So, I need to find out what kind of levers it is?
Bollocks. -

a good starting point would be finding out how many gears they are indexed for- 8/9/10?.. will give you a better idea of what you're looking for. Though obviously there will still be variations within those categories.

Were they STI- integrated shifters and brake levers?

Or this type?

oh yeah! Facepalm..
How is your foot btw, Neil?

Not STI, but more like the one above yes.

Foot is good- thanks for asking.
It's pretty much better, bit of numbness still but that's part and parcel.
Got to take the "new" bike out for the first time on Saturday which was awesome.

@ Dammit, glad to hear you healed up. Did the new group and shiny things make up for lost saddle time?
@ Thrust - My knowledge a little hazy on that era - but I'm pretty sure they only made a few incarnations of those levers. Photo's would help.. Andyp or 'tester turning up would help too :)

I'm familiar with the 7402 brake levers (that I pictured above), with the 7700 series I can only picture STI type levers.
So I'd say it would have to be 74XX or earlier- although of course this is based on what I cannot remember rather than what I can!

These are 7400's:

So, this thread is about establishing whether all DA hoods are the same??
There must be more to it.

Nah, my friend ripped one hood off his lever so he know needs to buy a new pair.
And he's not as into bikes and bits as I am. -

working out which ones they are is easy, finding a replacement isn't.

Tis' true.

They look more like 7300's with black hoods than any of the others.
Nice Rossin, btw

Cheers, had it for a week then sold it to my mate. He's now biking on a better frame than I. Gutted.
And the 7300's are bloody hard to come buy I reckon.

7402's are my favourite brake levers- I once bought an entire bike just for them.

if they turn out to be 7400's, there is a white pair on Hilary Stone's shop at the mo.
So my mate bought my old bike that had Dura Ace Levers, the internalwire kind. Dunno what they were. The question is - are all DA-hoods the same?
Thanks.
