Circlip help: how do I put one on?

Please... Somebody tell me how to rebuild my coaster, I can't work out how to get the circlip back on. Is there a special tool? Can anyone tell me if there's a lo-fi fix?

*well you sqeeze to fit, insert the pins then the spring built in opens the clip for you :)

Used two screwdrivers in the end. Part of the problem is I'm a bit cack handed due to chopping a bit of my thumb off last night. Lost it in my parsley too. Yech.
