I might be interested. I've had a AA Dinotte for some time. This set might be of use for the 24hr but to be honest I've not looked around much yet. How long do you reckon a single front light would last with either the large or small packs?

ha, good question.
Here's what the bumpfh says,
/attachments/37589Personally, since i have bought them, (2nd hand) before xmas I haven't done a long ride with them which is partly why i'm selling. I tend to charge them up at either home or, work when i'm done, so they are always topped up. So probably not done more than a few hours off one.

They were originally bought Sept 08 with the 2 x 2cell mini packs, so i might do a test over the weekend of the actual battery life now. The 4 cells (and some of the extras) i don't seem to have any paperwork, but could contact the guy i got them off if needed.

Do they get hot operating stationary?
Yep.. you might want to turn them off or test on the bike.
"Do not run light without using a fan for airflow. Without airflow, the light will get very hot and go into a thermal protection mode. Use caution when handling your light as all high powered lights have may become
too hot to touch. Your light will not ever get so hot where it will damage your equipment, but you should still handle it with caution.""When lithium ion batteries reach low battery mode, change batteries as quickly as possible. The light will start to have reduced light output and quickly turn off. Think of low battery as an indicator to change batteries as soon as convenient. Always charge a low battery. Lithium ion batteries LIKE to be charged"

Yes, you're right. I've put them outside in the green house though which is cold and has a thru draft. They are warm (been on nearly an hr) If they get Hot i'll scrap it and test them on the bike.

Ok, so had the Rear light (which is 140L) on a 2 cell pack for 4.5 hrs at 100% and it is just starting to go on to low mode (which they do when power is low)
So, i'm guessing the times in the above chart are for the 200L, which makes it about right for a 4hr run time, so that pack seems as good as new and holding a lot charge.
The front light is hooked up to a 4 cell pack and is still going strong on 100%... so basically it seems like there is nothing to worry about with the battery packs.cheers
btw - been out on the bike with them for the last 2 hours and they are only warm, i have not been letting these overheat in my tests :)

Quick update..... completed the test on the 4 cell pack and its holding charge pretty much as new, the other 2 cell is also good. I will test the other 4 cell over the next few days, but don't let that put you off ;)
Going to try these elsewhere, so closing thread

recently they had a offer to upgrade to the new "road riders experience" for $70, maybe worth contacting them if this is of interest, but to be honest they are a powerful light for the size.
