Tyre question for clydesdales

  • I got a good deal on some vintage rims which I will build up for training untill I can afford a more expensive wheelset, they are 19mm wide. I want to run 20mm tyres but I weigh 110kg, I know it would be out of the question for road training/racing but on an outdoor track would it be ok? might use 22c, but would prefer 20c. I run 28c on the road for commuting/training.

  • There's no benefit to be had in going down as low as 20c, especially at your weight. Get a pair of 23c and se them.
