  • wow...anyone know about this?

  • The beauty of fixed for the street is it's simplicity, lack of maintenance and silence when set up right. These look overengineered and a bit fugly, imo.

  • Never managed to have a silent fixed drive train.

    I fail at bikes.

  • step 1. Buy KMC chain.
step 2. Have silent drive train.

  • i think its to ease the stopping exertion on the legs when braking and give mechanical advantage on skid stops

  • I like how you can just ride your bike, get home and leave it alone, then ride it again without worrying about maintenance. And you can do that for months.

  • ^ tru fax.

  • This must be awesome - just loook at the cool font and reflections and that.

  • looks ugly, heavy and unneccessary...

Pretty much the opposite of what you're going for with a bicycle then?

    (DH mtbs excluded)

  • Jason kan fuck off if he thinks that ugly piece of ass is going anywhere near my bike!

the designs don't even show how the idea works. What the springs somehow lessen the force needing to be applied. I donae get it!

  • This looks wank.

  • Looks like they've tried to solve a problem that doesn't really exist.

  • Its like a clutch in a car and pointless on a bike.

  • This shit has been done before.

Here's an Aussie doing the same thing 5 years ago. I'm sure there's some French bloke who'd tried something like this 60 years ago.

  • Did he not know that having a bent crank arm was proven to be ineffective in power transfer?

  • Did he not know that having a bent crank arm was proven to be ineffective in power transfer?

    Are you questioning god?

  • Better alternatives to this design: Get a coaster brake or HTFU.
