It's not down, you're just not hip enough to enter.

Ok, so its ok with But i have miss matching pairs sort of like And i am worried about the balance of the situation.
My mother told me to always wear clean underwear just in case... Will this help me?
-
• #6
Why yes of course! HipSoks do not need washing, and naturally they come in sets of 3, all of which do not match, for that extra funky level of trend.

I would have been interested if there had been some limited run that you did through word of mouth so I had a chance to get them before anyone else had heard of them so I could casually throw a reference to them into my next 1000 conversations and people would be like wow what are those and I'd be all like 'oh you'll have not heard of them yet' and give them a look of disdain (and maybe datdain to).
would you be willing to pull the product from the shelves and sell me the only pair (set?) still available? it'd only be for a month or two and my interest will have waned by then so you can sell them to all the jonny come latelys to your hearts desire.
I am only willing to pay £10 for them though.

Yup... Couldnt contain myself.

dpres, whoever you are. This thread seems a little cherlish just because you cant seem to stay on your bike long enough to be able to where a lock arround your waist. I posted that thread as something that I think is probably quite usefull and certenly a good idea. Now you are being berty big internet balls.
-
• #12
Nah, just check his spelling. It is all correct so it cant be me.

Hey, I am only jumping on the hipster bandwagon. It's all good business. In the same way your friend has made an unwearable, unsafe, colour coded chain that is not actually a good lock I can sell trendy socks that can double up as a lock, admittedly a lock that is marginally less strong as the HipLok, but hey, hourses for courses.
-

I have never met the guy. It is however a good idea. In what way is it unwearable?
Unsafe is a little overboard. If you come off you will hert yourself. This lock lies flat to the body so wont dig in as much as a cable lock or chain.
Colour coded? To what? Have you never bought a t-shirt because ou liked the colour? It is just the same.
Granted this lock is a bit hipster (as I said in the first post) but. Your arguments and subsequent pisstake thread are a bit shit. You dont really seem to know what you are talking about and are just trying to make an internet name for yorself.

What gauge merino do you use? I hear the thinner stuff can be cut with any old pair of haberdashers scissors.
-

Ah we have thought of that. You know how I said they didn't need washing?....

I find it a shame that in a small indestry that fixed gear is, someone who trys something new (and possibly usefull) that people take the piss and shoot it down.

No it's ok. No one is taking the piss out of HipSoks

can you guarantee he'll be able to remove them again once he's put them on?

Don't worry as I can make some special aluminium ones just for him.

Are you sure they wont hurt your ankles when you fall off?
-

Erm, can we keep this to the HipSoks please? There is already a thread devoted to HipLok.
Introducing the new latest trend in lock and sock technologies. You actually wear the sock, then when you arrive at your destination you take your socks off and tie up your bike, with the sock, to a bike stand.
