2011-03-16 - Pedestrian (maybe) down, Oxford St near Oxford Circus

Oxford St closed to traffic east of Oxford Circus, Gt Portland St closed off south of Market Place junction. Twitter has lots of conflicting information, but it seems like a bus was involved.

No suggestion as yet that it involved a cyclist.

A40 Oxford Street Soho, both ways between A4201 Regent Street and A400 Tottenham Court Road

A40 London - A40 Oxford Street in Soho closed and queueing traffic in both directions between Oxford Circus and St Giles Circus, because of an accident involving a bus and a pedestrian. Diversion in operation - affecting bus routes 7, 8, 10, 55, 73, 98 and 390.

cycled there and saw a female lying on the ground with an oxygen mask on her face and paramedics around her, her head was covered in blood, didn't look too good. hope she's alright.

and a minute later after I saw that accident some cabbie tried to turn left and almost running over me as I was pulling of the junction, going straight ahead. he showed me a middle finger, when I turned around wondering what the fuck was he trying to do. don't like cycling on oxford street.

I also saw the accident. Does anybody know how it went?
I have tried to find news, but, nothing.
It didnt look to good. Hope she's ok!
