I too must admit being Welsh enough that I was at one point in contention to be in a Welsh Commonwealth team.

More a case of I would have played for anyone to compete at that level.

i lived in cardiff (nr pontcanna fields) for about a year 1990-91 (last recession). it was hard for a bit adjusting to life outside london, but some great memories and some decent people :)

however, my missus had a bad experience there though working for BBC welsh speaking in the canteen etc, never ever felt welcome :(

traversing crib goch (snowdon) from pen-y-pass was a highlight
