I was out in Ghent working with a womens team at the Omloop het Nieuswblad.

Stelle from here was racing, Steev and Illy were also on helping duties. The weather was perfect for a Belgian Classic - it was wet and cold. The girls in our team did really well, from what we can work out the ones who completed were amongst the highest placed amateurs there. We think the other highly placed amateurs had ridden for pro teams previously.

Hats off to Stelle for stepping up at short notice and getting through a significant section of the course. She is one determined lady. We got the call on the race radio that she had gone down but she was back up on the bike before we got to her and carried on even further.

Amazing atmosphere both at the event and in our team bus, huge laughs but the team worked damn hard. Looking forwards to the rest of the season.
