  • Do I need foot retention?

  • Do I need foot retention?

    No

  • Edited^^

official start is after the Omniums.

Sprinters wishing to ride on sundays before that contact me and we'll book some time.

  • About time too, my track bike has gathered a fair amount of dust hung up in the study.

Sundays are the only days I can make it to the track this year. Will try to make it every week.

  • Omniums? Couldn't see anything on the HH calender.

  • They're run on most (if not all) Saturdays in April, weather permitting.

  • what about Sundays?

  • 1st May? We were down there early March last year*.

*personally moot, as I'm TTing most Sundays till May anyway

  • Not my choice.

    talk to the hand

first one 10th April, on sundays

  • Big hairy bollox. I need to get down there as soon as :(

May's, like, next year, or something.

  • Okay, RPM's hand, can you give us any info on the hows, the whys, and the doyoumindifIdon'ts?

I can certainly give you the "how"

  • Where are you TTing bmmmph? Maybe I should swap disciplines . Ive got the username for it.

    Saturday sessions start 5th March

  • Yeah but he's too good to be an intermediate. That's the whole point of sundays, too many very fast riders wanting to rip legs off part timers on saturdays = chaos.

  • How 'experienced' is 'experienced'. I've done induction and beginers sessions at calshot? I'd like to do something regular with maybe a little friendly competition.

  • He's old and fat and knackered too now though.

  • The sessions can start when people want. The first few weeks of Saturdays shouldn't be too busy and riders can ride there. The Autumn Omniums are on 11th and 17th of April, and presumably the majority of "advanced" riders should be racing those rather than training. The 24th is Easter Sunday so people will be cooking roasts and all that.

Looking at this thread so far more people have already said they can't make it. I'm happy to change my plans to run the sessions, but only if there'd be a reasonably turn out - which for the reasons above, I didn't think there would be.

  • All very 'controlled' sessions of course and strictly no chaos allowed!...so as long as people aren't plonkers and try to beat up intermediates, everyone can have fun.

Sounds like you are a beginner-intermediate then.

    Saturdays

And Induction too if you've never ridden HH.

I'll be there every Sunday (that I'm not required to be working elsewhere) weather permitting for the sprint group, if enough endurance types turn up to make it worthwhile for them then I'm happy to run both.

  • In.

  • I can probably manage Saturdays, I just much prefer the Sunday sessions for lots of reasons. Anyway, Andys right.......too right.
