  • I was riding towards Old Street roundabout down City Road this morning. The traffic lights onto the roundabout were red. A large articulated lorry was in the left lane indicating left about two or three vehicles from the stop line. Two cyclists were ahead of me. One rode down the left of the lorry. The other, a young woman on a hybrid immediately in front of me, stopped as did I. The lights changed immediately and we moved off. As I passed her, I looked over and said;"Nice move" and smiled. She smiled back. I rode on.

Was my action the condescending action of a patronising middle-aged git or was it, as it was intended, an affirmation of good riding which may encourage that rider to continue her good practice?

I pondered this as I rode on and overtook the lorry (on the right and in a different lane). Should I just have kept quiet?

  • I thought this was going to be a thread about Teenslain.

  • No Clive. You are a lovely man and we all love you.

*Is this a delayed reaction to all the neg rep you asked for?

  • She may well have arrived at her destination and thought that you were being sarcastic.

  • Were either of your hands in your pockets as you spoke?

  • oh Clive, why post this middle aged angst in the ladies forum?

  • oh Clive, why post this middle aged angst in the ladies forum?

Because it was a question to women.

  • I thought this was going to be a thread about Wiganwill.

    ftfy

  • Because it was a question to women.

    The answers are:
    Yes
    No
    Maybe

  • I looked over and said;"Nice move" and smiled. She smiled back.

It wasn't a smile, it was what psychologists/anthropologists call a 'fear grimace'. As ever, Clive, you disgust me.

  • Nuuuuuuuuuuurrrggghhhhhhhhh

    Can't nerg yet.

    Waiting for powers to recharge.

May have to create alias for the purpose.

  • Because it was a question to women.

A Gentleman will always act like a Gentleman.

Those who know you, will understand your proper intent. If others miscontrue, that must ultimately be their problem.

"But above all else, unto thyself be true." As some (even older) Greek bloke once said, back in the day.

  • The answers are:
    Yes
    No
    Maybe

So proper behaviour is to ignore the existence of others. This is good as it is generally what I do.

  • Did she have big tits?

If yes, you're an old perv. If no, you're an old perv with a preference for small boobies.

  • To be honest, I did not take any notice of her looks. When you get to my age, a bike is the only thing that gets any action between my legs.

    Who said that?

And that doesn't get *that *much action either, eh Clive?

waits for Clive's coach to make similar observation

  • The scant nature of cliveo's training and fucking diaries is a huge disappointment to RPM and Mrs O.

Mrs O is always nagging him to do more training.

  • Bernie now on "ignore"
