I'm booked in for this one (was booked in for the first one, but didn't make it) on my '53 Ellis Briggs. Hope its dry, so the L'Eroica mud splatters on it stay intact...

Organised by Sean at Ken Fosters, thinking of giving it a blast, but adding on miles to get there and back from home maybe too much for the GF to manage, and it's Easter so am unlikely to get a pass out alone... be good Fred Whitton prep though.
edit - infact that pic looks alot like Sean...

Aye - it is organised by Sean, he leant a mate of mine a bike to ride it on, it was an eyeopener for him to go back to clips/straps, downtube shifters and 52/42 gearing. On a similar note....

There's a 'ickle version of the ride (13 miles?) if you could go your seperate ways

Correct. That is Sean.
He and a mate of mine (Tony W) organise the ride.
Got themselves a spot on local radio (BBC Radio Lancs?) last year for about 15 mins to promote the ride. Had to listen to it on iplayer.
I'm hoping to be there on the Holdsworth. -

so the 'Northern' doesn't refer to north London but somewhere actually further north!
Here's one for the northern lads:
2nd year running, includes Nick o Pendle (a challenging hill).
Modelled on the idea of a L'Eroica sportif.
Ideally use a steel, pre-STI machine
