Registration is a 30-45 minute period on the 26th. Don't think we can do it as a group, probably some sort of limit on number of tickets per person, not been announced yet. We need to be organised and all get some tickets. Probably best for people to send reminder texts/phone calls on the day, whip up some activity!

Norfolk Chapter - Kings Lynn Calling.....
I'll be travelling by train to either Liverpool Street or Kings Cross. Probably solo like Tweed Run 2009 and 2010. I'll be the chap in a tweed jacket with a bike. Look out for me chaps.
By the way, I think that registration is probably open for longer, BUT all the places (400) for Tweed Run 2010 went in 45 mins.

Yeah, it's open until the tickets go, but they'll go in 30-45 minutes. Want to hook up with us for the day?

Registration is on Saturday. I'll text who I have numbers for to remind them, but Ben will have to remember all on his own because he refuses to enter the 21st century.
Which is why he will LOVE the Tweed Run. Hoorah. I just bought a tweed hat. My costume is sorted. Now I just need a bike. I used the Rivel last year, but it pretty much disintegrated over winter.

I'm going to dress up but I don't think I've got the budget to get another bike for it. I'm thinking of making up some vintage looking decals to cover the grungy ones on the Surly, and maybe some moustache bars..

There were plenty of people on modern bikes, don't worry.
-
• #13
Haha. Gems bike is well and truly under way. Watch this space for some pics!

BUMP.
Get involved, gentlemen and gentlewomen.
Sent out reminder texts - anyone got a home number for Ben?
-
• #15
I already have the registration page open and hitting refresh every 5 seconds.

• #16
Done.
-
• #17
Full already?! I've got mine but by the time I got back to the registration page to do Earng's it was full!
-
• #18
I got number 291 - I was ready and waiting at 11.55 and hitting refresh. This ride is mad, there must have been thousands of people trying to get in. Did the same thing trying to get a ticket for Kirsty - no joy.

146 here. Oh well, Earng and Kirsty can keep each other company on the day..
-
• #20
So it's Sparky, Dan and Ben then? Anyone else get in?
Just heard from Gav - he missed out. Bummer.
-
• #21
Balls got my sister in and I went back to do it and it was full
Sparky is there any chance of you getting us in like you did last year?
-
• #22
Not sure mate, haven't been commissioned to write anything for anyone. Will pitch the idea around though.
Just heard that Sailor got in as well...
-
• #23
That would be good mate, I can always give you some cash for it. Gutted as I didn't think it would fill up that quick. Registered my sister went back to do it and it was full, what the hell?
-
• #24
It was a bit mad. Lots of people complaining of the same thing: did one reg, went to get the other and it was full.
You're the first person I've heard who got one for someone else and missed out on your own. Everyone else is saying their other half can't come now... You must be a generous person to think of others first!

No I'm a mug!
The Tweed Run is coming up soon, and we should get a contingent from Norwich to head down. Get the train up there, start hitting the gin and sandwiches straight away, nice day pootling about the capital, more gin, then the pub, more gin, train home, gin on way, and home. Sound good?
We need to be on the ball to get tickets, though. They all went in 45 minutes last year. Registration opens on the 26th, and we need to make sure we all get on.
