Insurance from coaching generally comes from membership of the governing body in conjunction with the qualifications. (in the case of cycling, if you are a BC or ABCC coach and member, you are insured) The costs for doing it off one's own back are apparently astronomical.

TBH I think it's a good idea on the whole, as it can put off people setting themselves up as a "coach" without any qualifications (and therefore more likely in the eyes of the insurers to be a risk). Bearing in mind that the qualifications involve CRB and 1st aid it makes a lot of sense.
I am looking to find a company that will provide a good insurance policy for a "sideline" that i am putting together. It needs to cover sports therapy and coaching. If you yourself are involved in the health, fitness and medical professions can you recommend anyone.
