Heal the hell up!

Commie, was this at about half 6 this morning? If so, it was my housemate Ian who got hit...
Car slowed down as approaching the roundabout from his left, Ian carried on with the right of way and then the last thing he remembers is seeing the front wheel of the Golf and bouncing head first off the windscreen and the road. His lovely red singlespeed which I built was thrown across the roundabout with enough force to shear a pedal in two.
He's now under 24hour supervision with head injuries, a possibly fractured cheek, a mangled ear and feels like he been beaten up. I've just got off the phone to him and he's in great spirits considering!
If a lady was also hit this morning, then heal up quick to her too!
You're right, there are five of us that live together, we all ride across that roundabout twice a day and agree that the number or cars that pull out and pedestrians that step off the kerb is ridiculous.

I used to ride around there regularly. No end of total fuckwittery L,R & C.
Upwards and onwards everyone concerned.

TM,
It must have been Ian, hope he gets well soon and send him my best wishes.
Ps when he's better, I'll buy him a pint in the Sands End

That's terrible, Tom. I hope that Ian gets better soon! It's good to hear that he's in reasonably good spirits for now.
The roundabouts in that area are definitely all designed very badly. If you need any help with thinking about the roundabout, let me know. I'll point Hammersmith & Fulham Cyclists in the direction of this thread, too.

Yeah, that's sometimes on my commute, and I agree it's not a great roundabout.
Hope Ian is ok.
Cyclist in the road by the roundabout outside Imperial Wharf entrance.

He was being attended to by medics & being placed into a brace, police also in attendance, he was looking very groggy, but no obvious injuries.
Wishing the him a speedy recovery & hope there were no serious injuries.
This roundabout is very disconcerting for drivers approaching from Imperial Road as the traffic island is quite high and obscures the line of sight to the roundabout. I have near misses frequently, with drivers failing to see cyclists on the roundabout. Will send off a letter to see if the layout can be improved.
