Students - vice event

Hi everyone

I'm most people have heard of VICE magazine, well they are showing their new film Teenage Riots at the East Slope Bar at Sussex Uni at 6pm (weds 16th feb). It is their film about the student protests against the education cuts that the Con-Dems have forced upon the nation. It is a free event so be sure to get down.

Aside from “sneaker culture” one of the most homo and expensive trends you can align yourself with while at uni is the trendy fixed-gear bike cult. You spend hours on forums, and eBay searching for the parts to make your dream bike. Then you lock it up outside a pub full of other bike pervs so they can dribble at it while everybody else in the world laughs and kicks it.

I basically concur with this. You pretty much summed up my feelings towards it. It represents all that is putrid in hipster faux-culture.
