Bought this last year to build up as a bad weather run around but due to lack of time the project never happened. Just splashed out on a new frame for my geared bike so need to shift this.

Its a RGF Path Frame designed for 27" wheels although I had planned to use it with mudguards and 700x28-32cc wheels.

The frame had quite a bit of surface rust around the bottom bracket which I had started sanding off. I've tried to show it within the pictures.

No idea what tubing this is made from but I'm guessing it must be double butted as it weighs about the same as my Mercian track frame of the same size which is 531.

    Viewings welcome

  • Do you know what the rear dropout spacing is?

  • Do you know what the rear dropout spacing is?

    113mm Rear Dropouts

    .

  • Yep that is correct.

  • Sorry I had assumed this was an RGF frame as these are the letters in a logo stamped onto the top of the bottom bracket shell. I should of taken a picture of it. However according to the below link its the brand of the maker of the bottom bracket shell, not necessarily the frame.

  • Ask Hilary.....he may know.

  • There's a bit of Ron Cooper's interview (on the bike show) where he says back in the day, there was a builder on every other corner building frames of reynolds with nervex lugs, so don't ask me who made your frame, how the hell should I know?! :)

  • Still up for grabs

  • lolster

Also what is the frame number

  • Sorry for the slow reply. Frame number is 55658. Cant spot any other markings.

Frame appears to be a 27.2mm I only have a 27mm post off bike to test with but from that im pretty sure its 27.2mm.

    Thanks

  • Has this gone yet?

  • Price drop £100

  • last chance before this goes on the bay

  • i reckon it might be a f w evans

The wrap around seast stays where they meet the seat tube match my Evans road frame, but mine is from the seventies and I've been told that Evans from that period were actually built by Holdsworth.

No idea if its true, nice frame either way.

  • I've been very tempted by this. Need to check my bank balance....

  • Are those measurements ctc or ctt?

  • Is this still available?

  • seat post measurement is ctt
