potentially up for going. what makes you think it's a team event?
it's mentioned on the oxford subforum, but no real info. ends at the bookbinders - a lovely old pub in Jericho -

In.
with motherfucking bells on.
I miss the old hometown.
Its not necessarily a Team event, but they all are sort of team events as they're not alleycats, but alleykittens, where its more important to dress up and have fun then beast it around a city centre. -

yeah i did one there, day after a polo tourney. had to dance at every checkpoint!
i kinda know my way around, was a student there 02-06. might be up for this, esp if there's company for the train -

Maybe the phrase I was looking for was "dishevelled, drunken rabble" to bring the usual LFGSS confusion and mayhem to proceedings.
Daughter has just started her studies there, and it seems only appropriate that I show with some fellow London fixie skidders, and totally undermine her street cred.

I'm there that weekend anyways, so any excuse to extend that period of fun.
Though i may be late for the start seeing as i finish here at 4 in the Dissection Room. -

Confirmed- I won't make the start....
So, will see you lot @ the pub if you go.

I've wanted to make it to one of these for ages, my gf lives in Oxfordshire but I work in Guildford so can't make it to Oxford for the start time.

Anyone got some confirmed details for the event? Phone calls to the organisers are coming up blank.

i just posted here http://www.lfgss.com/thread20995.html but i don't think it's a very active thread
-
• #11
No it's not a very active sub-forum! You're probably better off PMing thurston hearts the who. They normally post up the details for the alleycats.

I'm not running this, but I expect the event will appear on the http://cycleoxford.com/ website soon. Also from there link to the facebook and twitter feeds which are the most regular sources of info for all things oxford cycling.
I wouldn't expect much forum chat, most people just show up!

Myself and Joe Garcia are up for this. I think we are going for the low-pro madness look, and booking into a cheapie hotel for the night. Will probably be driving down Friday afternoon, leaving Hammersmith around 3pm, if anyone wants a seat in the magic bus.

Cool, your place in the bus is booked. Can you PM me your mobile, and we can keep in touch.
I promised Joe Garcia "no funny business" with the hotel booking, so unless he changes his mind, you will need to sort your own bed for the night.

Ha, ha. (He means the cut head, not the sex change..)
Not at all bad when I washed the congealed blood and tarmac out of it....
'tis merely a flesh wound......
Looking to get a LFGSS team into this, but the information is pretty sketchy, with nothing on the Oxford Cycle Workshop web site.
Anyone have better contact details for the organisers?
Thanks muchly.
