Absolutely F**king Bonkers

Today I watched a young lady rollerblading down Hawley Road in the traffic with:-

a) no helmet
b) her hair in her eyes
c) a huge bag rattling round her midriff
d) a decided lack of skating ability
e) severe balance issues

like it was something perfectly reasonable to do

but of course in actual fact it was (see thread title)
I thought I'd create a little repository for tales of such people

The nickname Fruitboots says all that needs to be said about rollerskating. It's fucking awful, like plastic replacement windows, instant mash, square plates, jeans with worn patches already made, doing that blokey loop with your scarf, ballroom dancing TV ... In other words, fucking dorky and stupid and ugly and horrible.

rollerblades (in line wheels) are not rollerskates (disco! and real trucks underneath yer boots! how cool is that!)

Roller-skating is, without a doubt, teh worst thing ever invented. Fact.

When I was visiting my parents in deepest darkest essex, I cycled past a woman jogging on the edge of winding country roads with high hedgerows on either sides, wearing all black (even her shoes), no reflectives or lights, at about 7am before it was even starting to get light.Absolutely insane.

Anyway, I can't be arsed to find lots of good skate videos on youtube... but I'm sure they do exist. If you give props to adults riding clown bikes, then I think it can be extend to skates too.
