doesnt matter which way you cut it, its second hand
-

you could basically go and buy everything you are selling for the same price (if not less) and have the right to take it back, swap it etc.
Having said that, seeing as it is basically brand new and you seem pretty desperate maybe knock a couple of hundred off and im sure it will shift...

Do you seriously believe that camera is going to turn up if you order it? And if it does turn up do you know what the vat and duty will be? Because there's no way that camera is from a uk dealer

Obviously its a saturday so not very easy to test but they give a London address and phone number and everything about them says they are a UK dealer so i cannot really se too much of a problem. If you are based in the UK i cannot see any reason it would not show up or why you would need to pay duty and tax......are you sure you where looking at the same website as me?

Wow. That's serious. It's amazing what a smart website can do to fool you! I never knew that scamchecker website existed. I'm going to check everything from now on through that. Glad you showed me as I bookmarked it to buy a 7D as soon as the next tax year rolls in.

I think 1039pounds is impossible to get this camera,
I can pay around 1300pounds to get this camera from Asia nowadays,
but in here the UK, it is impossible to pay as low as this lower price than in the Asia. -
• #17
Whatever. I bought both Nikon D200 and D3 from abroad without paying any duty.
D3 cost me £2000 three years ago. -
• #18
btw, I saw D700 sale in Jessops Putney shop around 1450pounds,
forgot the exactly price, anyway. -

True, I bought lenses from Malaysia. They were sent as items returning from the repair.

Well, like Omar I would have thought it was for real. but looking at these guys...
thanks for the heads up MrSmyth (although there's only 1 scam report, dated today)
and my apologies to Roxy, good luck with the sale

Roxy needs to be more flexible with the prices.
Unfortunately once things leave the shop their value depreciates.Nowadays most smart arses just look at ended auctions on eBay. It's hard to get the full price.

Wow guys, thanks for all the forum-friendly support. :(
I am happy to hear any real offers from anybody actually interested in buying the camera. I am very desperate to sell it. I understand that it is now classed as 2nd hand, though it's never fired a shot and it was purchased 20 days ago. -Lots can change in your life in 20 days it turns out.
As a long-standing forumenger I can guarantee that if you buy this camera it will turn up. (in fact I reckon, if you're in London I can make it turn up on your doorstep within 24 hours with a pack of fags, bouquet of flowers, or maybe I can throw in some bike kit at cost, whatever you like....).
Hope that makes you all feel better with what I'm offering.

Roxy, can't you return it? Have you got receipts?
Like I said, people are very spoiled by eBay. They will look up the recently "ended" auctions and base their price range on them.
-
• #24
No they won't accept it as it's outside the 14 day return period. Basically I screwed up. But I am offering a brand new camera at a really good price. It's not a used camera. But I understand it's second-hand.

I see. What a pity.
What you need is to find someone who was about to buy a brand new one anyway.
Good luck! Perhaps some comments were to harsh, but we are a bunch of broke ass bargain hunters.
