The 'B' of M&B is Vernon Barker who is still in business in Dronfield. Super frames M&B, I had a racing tandem from them in the 80's.

Edison is now sold.
Morning. I've got a bunch of stuff to clear out, and this is the first lot.
Everything is at Fitzrovia Bicycles (formally Cavendish @ 136-138 New Cavendish St, W1W 6YD). Preference will be to anyone who can pick stuff up, as i'd rather not have to post. Plus it'll be first come, first served, so no dibsing please!
So first i've got a tasty Edison track frame, which is from a small shop in Derbyshire. The name comes from the original owner, Eddie, and his son; Edison. Nice. There's very little about them on the web, but here's a link to their shop http://www.edisoncycles.co.uk/
Aparently the shop was setup in 1981, so i'm guessing this frame is from the 80s, but could be later?
The frame itself is lovely, with nice lugwork with heart cutouts, and a capped seatstay bridge, plus it has Edison embossed into the tops of the seatstays. The forks have a tasty flat crown (drilled), with round legs. Combined with an awesome blue to off-white fade, this is one spanking frame. There are a few marks to the paint, but nothing out of the ordinary. Frame is straight with no dents. Included is a chromed Tange headset.

The second frame is an MB Dronfield Lo-Pro road/TT frame. I bought this fairly recently, thinking i definitely needed it, but it turns out i don't. Oops.
This is a wicked TT frame, with super tight geometry (it's so tight, you need to let the rear tyre down to get it in the frame), plus it's got a nice fastback seatstay/seat cluster setup. Takes 700c wheels front and rear. Has the all important forward facing rear dropouts, so can easily be run as a fixed. Comes with a Shimano 105 headset.
Again, there's not much about the builder on the web, and from what i can find out, the shop, which was in Sheffield, has closed down.
61.5cm ST c-t
57cm TT c-c (actual)
52-53cm TT c-c (effective)
27.2 seatpost
128mm rear spacing
BSA BB
(plus it only has a right hand down tube shifter boss, in true TT style)

**Next up i've got a lovely set of track wheels, comprising current Campag Record hubs and Mavic Open Pro rims in CD finish. I built these up last summer, and they've had minimal use since then. Laced 3 cross front and rear, with DT double butted spokes. I removed the open pro stickers also, as they're ghastly and don't suit what is essentially quite a classic looking wheelset. Still have original lockring and wheel nuts. The condition is fantastic.
SOLD
Lastly, is a blue Phil Woods double fixed hub, laced to a black DT Swiss 1.2 rim. I wanted a slightly lighter wheel with this, so drilling is 28 hole, and is laced 2 cross with black DT double butted spokes. Again, this hasn't had a great deal of use.
As with all DT rims, the rim was machined, but i've blacked out the braking surface with a paint pen. Plus, i only have one of the lockrings, god knows what happened to the other one.
I had this on the Edison frame, so it's currently setup for 110mm. I do have the caps for 120mm, but not the axle.
Comes with a Continental Supersport tyre, still with plenty of life left in it.
