Ha, I was just shopping for one of these today, or rather, trying to work out which one to buy... if I can unload an old MBP for £450 I might be in for this... keep ya posted...

Cool, let me know. What's the spec of the MBP?

Will do, sadly too early to call dibs...
It's a pre unibody one, and pretty used to be honest, 15inch 2.2ghz 120gb 2gb ram... needs a clean inside and out and it will run pretty good... you think 450 sounds like a fair price? they seem to go for 450-700 on gumtree... -

sounds like a good deal. my missus uses the i7 27". the screen is ridiculous. and incredible how all other computers can seem so slow in comparison. especially the one I have to use everyday ;)

Specs are definitely as listed, I check on the machine last night, so it is out of the box and set up, so I can get some pictures if need.

I am interested in this iMac and I was looking exchanging my current 13inch MacBook Pro for one. I could collect if we could meet halfway and my Macbook Pro is the £1020 one but I wanted the 320GB hard drive when I bought it so came to a total of £1061. Installed on the MacBook Pro is iLife '11, iWork '09 and Microsoft Office 2011. The other thing that is now included with the MacBook Pro is Windows 7 Home Premium on bootcamp which has installed antivirus software and Microsoft Office Professional 2010. (All software installed on both the mac and windows partition are all genuine.) It still includes original box, discs and manuals I will also include my Apple Magic Mouse and Apple Remote which are like new with original boxes and batteries so very little use.
Kind Regards
Graham

Sorry, I'm lost... Did the Prince get to jiggy-jiggy with the Princess at any point?

Apple care can be purchased within 12 months. I strongly recommand it. My laptop was playing up and they couldn't find out exactly what was wrong with it so they changed everything for me: mother board, ram, screen, graphic card, hardrive, and the keyboard (why?), so I had a brand new computer in effect, grand total of £1400, but it was under the apple care, so I paid nothing.

But did they jiggy-jiggy your princess? I don't think so...

perhaps stoopid question, but what kind of fire wire port is on this? i'm looking for one with the OLD kind, that looks like a rectangle with two corners lopped off.

you want 400, and you can get 400 to 800 converters so it shouldn't really matter which one it is

Its FW800, but as seb says, you can get a converter very easily.
