Am constantly amazed how much these are charged at for what they are and why they have to be made each time.

Wouldn't it be worth just doing up loads of sizes and having them on hand to sell?

Proper ones are made to order because prints come in all different sizes, not just 10 or so. Obviously. They are expensive because there is real skill involved in framing a picture properly. It's worth spending the cash if the picture warrants it.

They should have a big stack of variously sized mass produced raw wood jobs, which you can paint / stain or leave as they are.

That said, what size you after? I've got half a dozen used Atlantis frames (don't use ready mades anymore) at work. 45mm deep box, tulip wood, 285 x 235mm. About 20 quid a pop in Atlantis. You can have the lot for 40 collected from Mile End. Pm me if they're any use.
