  • Yo. I've just put this in the general forum, but would like to hit as many people as possible so i'm going to put it here as well, if you don't mind.

Hiya. A friend of mine is doing a college brief, where she's been asked by Pashley to come up with a range of fashionable cycling gear. The idea is it has to be wearable on and off the bike. To do this she needs some info to identify her target group, which is where you guys come in. If you could find a minute to answer the following questions, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks, guys!

    -Mark

If you don't fancy putting this info on a public forum but still want to help, feel free to send it to my email on nesbit83 AT gmail.com

  • thanks, ste. i might leave one or two things out :)

  • sorry mate, if your friend designed this I think it is poor, as a student and entrepreneur with many experience of having to do this stuff, I think this will be of no help finding a target market, or any product ideas. As steve shows it is also easily abused.
The questions are much too vague to be of any use, When I read through it I was like, spending power WTF does that mean!? I have a few grand lying around, but I might pay £10 for a cycling cap if thats what you mean. The best question in there is 'what do you think would be a great piece of clothing', straight to the point.
Also using this forum as your target market is daft, we are a bunch of rugged hardcore polistas, we need no 'fashinoble' clothing from pashley, probably not the target marked, unless pashley is into Vans. If your friend wants to do it propley, and since she had you post it here I guess she does (I have never actually done any questionnaire variety of thing and not just filled them in myself) you'd be better just giving some paper copies to lovely lady commuters.

  • damn scotts on a roll!

i vote scott "champion of the forum"

he's right you know, we're kindof scabby

we dont hear much of the ladies who ride these v on the manc forum

  • @scott, troll!,

@Paul you know pashly make loads of good stuff like trials bikes, work bike road bikes and bmx's? its not just ladies shoppers!

^^^I disagree, there are sartorialists on this forum:
    http://www.lfgss.com/thread57184.html
as well as people who wear stuff that's 'nice, if a little pricey'

Question-wise the Lifestyle one's a bit vague, and I wouldn't know what to put, but 'other activities' should prove fruitful as if someone rides their bike to play tennis or other such activity, a natty pair of riding/tennis shorts/shirt could result.

(I'm well posh and would like a natty pair of riding/tennis shorts with some divine detailing please.)

  • oh oh steve, thats very subversive, but stop, dont be trying to sway me to vote for you. i've my made my mind up .
    scott will get my vote

  • crap, once again ive done a wtf

  • seriously Paul what are you on?

  • do you want some?

  • no il pass thanks.

  • are you sure? it makes you like other people and their ideas

I get very bored of lots of people popping up on the forum to post these annoying little questionnaire, but any friend of Nesbits is a friend of mine ;)

spending power WTF does that mean!? I have a few grand lying around

spending power just means how much you could potentially spend per week or per month, without compromising your existence

srywut? not everyone's into polo here, dude. just because the main part of the people piping up play polo doesn't mean there's not quite a few lurkers about. and for your information, i've had two (!!) emails with answers to this.

thanks for the hard work coming up with all that bile though, now why dont you spend 1/10 of that time answering the questions? :D

My GF and I received matching gloves at Xmas. They have a pocket on the back of each glove which would be well upto the job.

Make me an offer. Go on. Please. You Want them, I can tell.
