Was at the velodrome the first time today. Enjoyed a lovely, familiar, uncommercial atmosphere. Great idea to use the whole site for a Cyclocross race. Thumbs-up
Also found a new handlebar stem for my beater and fell in love with a wonderful single-speed with golden decals and creme-sided tyres.Makes me smile for the rest of the day! :)

It is with great pleasure that I, as the organiser must inform you of the impending GRAND CYCLE JUMBLE on Good Friday at Herne Hill Velodrome. At £20 per pitch to aid Club funds. Low key so as not to conflict with the racing in Manchester.

Herne Hill Velodrome will be getting rid of some of their old track hire bikes, and VCL will also be selling off some unused club bikes and frames.
Featuring such names as Coppi, Binachi, Roberts, Cooper, plus a tonne of retro chiq clothing and various other bits and bobs (and thats just on the one stall I know about - theres about 10 stalls in total)

to everyone who is better informed than me:
do I understand correct that there are two ore more herne hill jumble sales in a row around this time?
Like, one on 22nd, and one on 30th? I found all these dates on the net (for example at http://www.campyoldy.co.uk/events.htm), and yes, they were all for 2011, so I am slightly confused now!??

Yep, Saturday the 30th is the next one.

Any more coming up in the next two weeks around London? I found this on bikejumbles.co.uk:
Farnham, Surrey Cycle Jumble 7th May 2011 Walter Happy Sea Cadets Centre Sat Farnham (8am)10am - 1pm - GU9 9LG
Anyone every heard of it, is it good/large?
Back to Herne Hill on up-coming 30th: does it make sense to have two jumbles in a row over there, or will I only find leftovers from last week then? :-)

all of those dates were written on a blackboard on the way in to the herne hill sale on friday, my best guess is that it will be a lot of the same sellers at all of them. But there were some crazy bargains at herne hill so i think they will all be good!

am confused, why does it say May 1st on their website?
The is a bike jumble at Herne Hill Velodrome tomorrow, all the usual sellers + the track will be selling a few of it's own unused items.
Lots of bargains
