Armourtex did that? I think I might have to visit them with a frame if that's the case.
Looks great, good luck with the sale.

Did they put the decals on as well?
-

No Armourtex state they won't touch graphics - its up to you to sort them out ;-)
I had a frame done by them a while back and the finish was unbelievebly good, i'd highly recommend them.

yep the Shorter decals were applied by a careful hand afterwards..

so tempted shame i just got a new bike!

some more info: it's probably worth saying that tufo tub, rear wheel, crankset, bb, sprocket, lockring, chain, h/s, stem, bars, grips, brake and pedals were all brand new when it was built - apart from the rear wheel, all those have done less than a hundred miles. it's a nippy, fun bike round town for sure..

So the hipster love affair with lo-pros is officially over.
What next?
All the vintage geared bikes to start being sold off?
-
• #12
oh dear, dancing james has found his way back into the school and is wandering through the corridors..
-
• #13
Bikesnobnyc has had various hipster price indeces, I could imagine him doing one based on the value of lo-pro bikes.
-
• #14
You dont have a lo pro for a 5'10" with straight Aero tubing and rear wheel arch do you?
-
• #15
i don't man, no.. despite appearances i'm not setting myself up as a lo pro dealer, these are just bikes that have to go to clear space for..well, other bikes..and i do likes me lo pros
you'd do worse than to get yourself to the New Year's Day Herne Hill jumble, all sorts can turn up there.. absolutely within the realms of possibility for someone to have one at a decent price.
-
• #16
Ha! I certainly dont think youre a lo pro dealer. I just know you love them and you do sometimes sell them on.
Unfortunately im not here on NYD :-(

• #17
I wish I had the contacts and pocket for it to be viable to deal in them.. ;)

**SOLD...... **Shorter Lo Pro, fixed wheel. 700c front / 24" front which neither looks nor rides too extreme due to frame size. This is in excellent condition with only one or two marks - it has been ridden less than a hundred miles since it was repainted and built up.
Frame: Shorter, 531 tubing, nice fillet brazing, Cinelli bb shell. A small dent in the down tube was filled by Superted September last year and it was then powdercoated at Armourtex to match original paintjob - the last three photos in the set come close to doing the colour and the finish justice, really nice gloopy turquoisey-pastel with metallic flake. Seat tube 54cm c-t; top tube 52cm c-c (effective horizontal about 50cm).
Cranks: Stronglight track (the more expensive ones) with stonglight cnc machined 46t chainring; front wheel: 24" with tofu junior pro tub; rear wheel: alex rim to on-one fixed/fixed, Condor 18t sprocket and Dura Ace lockring, grey/black Shwalbe Stelvio tyre 700x23c. Pedals: MKS Sylvan with MKS clips. Seat post: Miche aero. Saddle: Selle Italia. Headset: Tange. Bottom Bracket: Shimano UN54.
Vertical dropouts but with a decent chain line and perfect chain tension - all the work's been done.
This is a really nice build based around a very nice frame.. I'd say it was suitable for anyone between 5'3'' and 5'7'' and I'd imagine you could be a bit shorter too.
SOLD
Cheers!
