Hi Sandy
In my experience there aren't many 1-bed or studios for that sort of cash in Hackney, that's more flat-share territory.
Might be worth giving gumtree a go though, a lot of private landlords look to rent there.
Also I found a flat share on, the rather aptly named, http://www.flatshare.co.uk/
Good luck!

Yeah, I should have said a room in a flatshare is ok as well (I'll change the op). I'm thinking the cat will put a lot of folks off.
I decided a while back to give gumtree a miss, after 4years of looking at flats on gumtree they just seem a waste of time. If it's not a scam it'll be missing photos or will be just utterly useless.
Just been on flatshare.co.uk seems ok but a lot of the ads a "premium" I might take some time and write up a short bio for a wanted ad on there.
Thanks

you can still find some gems on gumtree, you just need to wade through a lot of rubbish

spareroom.co.uk?
Hi,
Due to circumstances which I didn't really foresee I'm looking for a new flat.
After looking on a couple of websites I've realised that it might be worth casting the net a little wider.
Basically I'm looking for a large studio or 1 bed flat in or close to hackney.
I'm also very open to a flat share as well.
I'm working and can provide references.
Ideally ground floor would be great as I have a cat, obviously the landlord would also have to be ok about the cat. Furnished, part-furnished or unfurnished are all good. I'm kind of in a bind so I'm willing to view almost anything. I'm looking at something in the range of £400 - £600 pcm.
Hopefully someone will be able to help, thanks
