id love to go skiing n boarding again but my knees are destroyed and i havent got 500 for custom braces, hopefully this bike lark will toughen them back up and then might head to chill factor in manc -
Yeah, you can get decent braces for less than that though I believe. A lad I did my season with last year had been a semi-pro wake boarder and had basically destroyed both his knees (landed funny and they bent the wrong way, serious stuff) he had some braces and I'm pretty sure they were £250-300 (still a fair bit of cash though I guess).
I love the snow, such a rush. looking forward to getting back out there.

ive not been skiing since i was about 15, im 30 now, i did my knees in falling off a climbing wall and missing the mats, landing between mats and folding them the wrong way then truly shagged the right one doing 110 mph sideways cartwheels when i raced 125s, ive tried all the supports n crap and nothing worked then someone said fixed could help so i got one :D
im not into a rebuild so if i can put it off 5 yrs or more ill be happy, im thinking 2 years riding and by that point the baby will be here and grown enough so i can take him to play in the snow :Dwhere you headed off to anyways ??

Yeah these ones he had were custom built, he had a load of surgeries over a year period sounded pretty grim. Sounds like yours have had a rough time of it too. Are you finding the fixed riding is helping? not sure if it's good or bad for mine as I have too higher gear for the hills I have to ride up i think, cos I have to ride down them as well.
did the season in Tignes, funnily enough heading back there for a week, val disere for a week, mayrhofen for a week and somewhere in andorra as well.

Are you finding the fixed riding is helping?
Ask me that in 3 months or so, its been shredding tubes so only just got properly going with it now, mainly short stuff upto 10 miles ish a few times a week
hopefully itll do the trick, im well fucked from a bike crash so got a lot of work to doreally want to go skiing now :(
